Presidential Pardon is a step for a better and brighter future, says a former inmate.
Albertino Shankar, 39, was one of the three former inmates who were given a grant of Presidential Pardon by the President of Fiji Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at the State House in Suva yesterday.
He was imprisoned in 2003 for the offence of murder. He was handed a sentence of life imprisonment with a minimum term of 17 years.
