Parliament Process To Appoint Opposition Leader
Mr Bainimarama was suspended because of an insult he posed to the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, about the 2013 Constitution.

The FijiFirst party will await Parliamentary process in the appointment of an Opposition Leader.
This was after its leader and former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama resigned from Parliament following his three-year suspension.
Mr Bainimarama was suspended because of an insult he posed to the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, about the 2013 Constitution.

When asked on when the Opposition is going to appoint a new leader, opposition member, Inia Seruiratu, said: “That’s for Parliament secretariat and the Honourable speaker to decide.”
Parliament will sit today for the next two weeks.
