Pio Tikoduadua has clarified that the increase in passport and immigration cost was reflective of the 15 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) increase that came into effect on August 1.

The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration made the clarifications after many were caught off-guard with the price changes while at the immigration office on Tuesday.
