Pastor Calls For Help To Rebuild Church

The leader of a church group in Labasa is calling on its members and stakeholders to help them rebuild their burned church.
The Shiloh Tabernacle Christian Fellowship Church, located opposite the Labasa Hospital in the Naiyaca subdivision, was destroyed in a fire on January 21, this year.
The first section of the building was completely destroyed in the fire, however the fire crew was able to save the second section of the church.

Pastor Kamla Prasad said: “After the fire, our members have faced a lot of challenges since the temporary shed set up on the church compound is not able to withstand the heavy rain and extreme heat inside,” the pastor said.

Shiloh Tabernacle Christian Fellowship Church pastor Kamla Prasad outside the temporary shed at Naiyaca subdivision on March 7, 2021, that was set up after the fire in January this year.
National Fire Authority (NFA) acting chief fire officer Qionilau Moceitai said a report would be sent to Police soon.
Police said their investigations were ongoing.
