Paulini Excited To Head To Polls For First Time

There are 693,915 voters who are registered to cast their votes in this year’s General Election.
Paulini Vavadi is one of those registered voters, and will be casting her vote today.
This will be her first time to participate in a democratic process of electing new parliamentarians, which only happens after every four years.

Ms Vavadi is 18 years old.
Her anticipation is one that very first time Fijian voters all have, content and anxious but at the same time excited to finally exercise her right to vote.
“I am excited because every year I look forward to this year for me to vote for a government,” Ms Vavadi said.
