PC Racagi death probe file sent to ODPP for review
The Fiji Police Force said all necessary supporting evidentiary documents relating to the investigation had been submitted to the ODPP.

The investigation into the death of Police Constable Peniasi Racagi has entered a critical stage, with Police confirming that all evidence gathered has been forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) for independent legal review.
The Fiji Police Force said all necessary supporting evidentiary documents relating to the investigation had been submitted to the ODPP.
Police also confirmed that investigation files concerning the alleged involvement of police officers had been forwarded.

The force said it had been advised that the ODPP's review of the files would take between three and four weeks.

Police said further updates would be provided once independent legal advice had been received.
"Further progress will be released upon receipt of the ODPP's independent legal advice."
