Mr Tudravu also confirmed that photos of the late Mr Vakarisi circulating on social media was not leaked from within the Fiji Police Force.  

“The fact that our children cannot feel safe in their own homes is extremely worrying and warrants an aggressive approach in dealing with the root causes of these crimes,” he said.  

Joint investigations by Police and the National Fire Authority are continuing into the cause of the fire.

Police say allegations circulating on social media about a senior Government official’s alleged links to a person of interest are under investigation.

Investigation linked to alleged drug money payments referred to DPP after forensic review and international assistance.
