Permanent secretaries of respective government ministries were part of the Permanent Secretaries Forum held at the Bali Towers yesterday.

In opening the Forum, Public Service Commission Chair Luke Rokovada stressed the importance of Permanent Secretaries knowing their respective ministers and working closely with them on a cooperative and partnership basis.

“I am pleased that you have now received your Permanent Secretaries Forum under the chairmanship of the Acting Permanent Secretary for Civil Service,” he said.

“I’m sure from now on you will have more regular meetings with your forum to discuss important changes that are impacting directly on your role and functions as Permanent Secretaries serving the Government today.”

There are currently 20 Permanent Secretaries serving various ministries with new inclusions expected to be appointed.
