PINA Vice-President in Suva for MOU signing, anti-corruption event
Iroga, as the vice-president of the Pacific Islands News Association, PINA, is also expecting to renew a partnership MOU with the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in Suva following the talanoa event.

Regional media leader and news publisher Robert Iroga is in Suva to speak at a commemorative event this morning at the Forum Secretariat.
The longtime journalists and former ACP Head of Media and Communications will be part of a panel event today marking the anniversary of the signing of the Teieniwa Vision for Pacific Unity against Corruption, which evolved from the outcomes of a meeting on February 5th in 2020 in Tarawa.
Iroga, as the vice-president of the Pacific Islands News Association, PINA, is also expecting to renew a partnership MOU with the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in Suva following the talanoa event.

“Being here to represent my PINA family to this renewal of our partnership agreement with the
Forum is a personal milestone for me – it’s an opportunity to ensure commitments to transparency and good governance from our leaders can really be put into action from a news perspective,” he said.
“Pacific journalists everywhere, including in the Solomon Islands, can do better reporting if we have better access to information from our leaders, and our regional organisations such as the Forum.”
“PINA has a long history of partnering with the Pacific Islands Forum and over the years we’ve unpacked commitments such as the Biketawa and Boe Declarations. The Teieniwa Vision is relatively new for us, Feb 5 is a timely reminder to learn more about the issues our leaders are endorsing,” said Iroga.
