Pio Tikoduadua Buries Hatchet Over 2019 Altercation With Bainimarama

The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua, is letting ‘bygones be bygones’ four years after an infamous altercation between him and Voreqe Bainimarama.

The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua, is letting ‘bygones be bygones’ four years after an infamous altercation between him and Voreqe Bainimarama.

Mr Tikoduadua was suspended after the altercation with then Prime Minister, Mr Bainimarama, after an inquiry by the Parliamentary Privileges Committee in August, 2019.

After hearing all the evidence, the committee said it was satisfied that there was a breach of privilege by both MP’s and that they should apologise to each other and to the Speaker.
