Plea Deferred For Man On Attempted Murder Charge

The plea date of a Nadi man who attempted to murder his only child last year has been deferred.

Saiyad Muktar Nabi, who is charged with one count of attempted murder, appeared before High Court Judge, Justice Riyaz Hamza at the High Court in Lautoka yesterday.

It is alleged that on September 3, following a heated argument with his wife at their Namotomoto, Nadi home the accused allegedly forcefully took their son and drove towards the Namotomoto Bridge.
