Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is still awaiting a comprehensive report on the mysterious glitch that occurred during the 2022 General Election.

Speaking yesterday at the opening of the Higher Education Commission Fiji office in Labasa, Mr Rabuka confirmed he had not yet received the report.

On 14 December 2022, the Fijian Elections Office (FEO) app malfunctioned during vote counting, causing a suspension of provisional results.

The issue arose when discrepancies were detected between data uploaded to the app and the physical count.

This led to public outrage and calls for greater transparency.

Supervisor of Elections (SoE) Ana Mataiciwa said that despite preparations for the 2026 elections, no clear instructions had been received from the Minister for Justice, Siromi Turaga, on resolving the matter.

"I am very much interested in the outcome of this matter," Mr Rabuka said.

"We still haven't received any answers."

Emails sent to the Minister for Justice for comments have remained unanswered.

Mr Rabuka is set to begin his two-day Northern Tour tomorrow (Wednesday).
