There’s no better feeling than coming home to the family I love and the people I’m privileged to lead, says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama as he arrived yesterday morning.

After a successful cardiovascular-related surgery on January 14, 2022 and recovery in Melbourne, Australia, Mr Bainimarama returned with his family.

He was pictured with wife Mary Bainimarama being greeted at the Nadi International Airport by a high level Government delegation, led by Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Yogesh Karan.

“Thank you for your prayers. Safe to say I know a thing or two about making a recovery – my mission here at home is to keep Fiji going strong!” Mr Bainimarama said.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum posted that the Prime Minister looked “ready to rock n roll!”

Mr Bainimarama went through the surgery following a scheduled medical review by his physician.
