“My counsel will arrange for my timing, and I will attend once that is formalised,” he told this newspaper yesterday.
FTRC chairman Sekove Nagiollevu said the commission would be inviting the Prime Minister to participate in the process, though attendance was not compulsory.
The commission began its first public hearing at the Suva Civic Centre yesterday and will continue today before moving to the Northern Division next week.
The FTRC was established to encourage open truth-telling and reconciliation over Fiji’s political upheavals dating back to 1987.
