Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere and Minister for iTaukei Affairs have voting rights in the appointment of the Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) chair that will be appointed today.

This was confirmed by Minister for iTaukei Affairs Ifereimi Vasu during a press conference yesterday.

Also having voting rights are the 45 representatives from the 13 provinces and six nominees of the Minister for iTaukei Affairs.

The six nominated by the Minister of iTaukei Affairs to be represented at the meeting are the three paramount chiefs of the three confederacies, those who have been nominated for the chairmanship role and the rep from the Soqosoqo Vakamarama iTaukei.
