Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says he authorised President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu’s overseas trips, amid public concerns of the use of Government resources and taxpayers’ funds.
Mr Rabuka said the visits were in response to invitations extended by Fiji’s valued international partners and allies.
In October, the President visited five states accompanied by the First Lady, including the United States of America, Ireland, England, and the Vatican City. He was pictured with Fijian diaspora in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates last Sunday. He will travel to India and Australia before returning to Fiji this month.
