People's Alliance Part leader and current Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, remains tight-lipped about his plans for the 2026 elections, despite growing speculation.
While Mr Rabuka has not confirmed his candidacy, he didn't shy away from the possibility when questioned on whether he would run again in two years.
Concerns have arisen that the party is straying from its manifesto, which some argue has been compromised under the Coalition Government. Mr. Rabuka acknowledged the situation, saying he is still considering his options.

"It will depend on my availability," he said.
"I'll have to join the queue and be subjected to the selection panel at the time. I will still have to be one of the applicants."
Despite the uncertainty, Rabuka is well aware that many party supporters are eager for him to lead them into the next election.
"Some of you have raised those issues in various media platforms-things that have been done and things that haven't been," he said.
"We haven't been able to achieve everything we set out to, partly because of our alliance. But we had a very productive meeting."
Mr Rabuka also emphasised that the party's manifesto could evolve, encouraging supporters to voice their ideas at party meetings.
''As our party's name reflects, it is the People's Alliance. The people come together, and we are aligned," he said.
"We are in an alliance, a friendship of people with a common objective: to lead the country properly by the people's will, guided by a vision for the country's betterment."
