Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro fully merits our commendation for deciding to accept the constitutional decision of the Prime Minister and the Public Service Commission (PSC), says former long-time permanent secretary, Jioji Kotobalavu.
However, Mr Kotobalavu said the challenge was for Mr Radrodro and his PS, Selina Kuruleca, to work in harmony to improve the quality and efficacy of education.
Ms Kuruleca's appointment on May 31 met overwhelming objection from the Fiji Teachers Union and Fijian Teachers Associations raising concerns over her qualifications and capabilities.
