Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has ordered an internal investigation into allegations that senior officers are aiding individuals involved in illegal activities.
This follows a viral social media post by Alexandra Forwood, which included screenshots alleging that police officers were aiding individuals involved in illegal drug activities.
Commissioner Tudravu said that if the allegations are proven to be false, further action will be taken against the person who made them, stressing that the Fiji Police Force would not allow social media to be used to 'unfairly discredit' officers working to disrupt the illicit drug trade.

He said the organisation will not be held at ransom by those who post claims online but refuse to cooperate with police inquiries.
Police said they have observed a pattern in which allegations surface whenever operations increase pressure on those involved in drug-related activities—often targeting officers leading the operations, including the Commissioner.
The force is now calling on Ms Alexandra Forwood, who made the latest allegations, to file an official report and assist investigations.
Commissioner Tudravu said official complaints must be lodged in good faith, noting that false claims harm not only officers’ careers but also affect their families, who 'endure the stress and trauma' of seeing loved ones labelled corrupt without evidence.
He reiterated that the Fiji Police Force maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward officers who assist criminal elements and will pursue investigations and disciplinary action when official reports are lodged.
Police added that such allegations are often used as tactics to divert attention from ongoing operations, but the organisation remains focused on protecting communities from the harms of the illicit drug trade.
