The Fiji Police Force is committed to transparency and accountability.
Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police (A/DCP) Aporosa Lutunauga made this statement when handing over certificates to a group of participants who contributed to Fiji Police Force strategic plan 2025-2029 Consultations at the Labasa Civic Centre today.
“If you have been following the local media, you must have seen the launch of our two strategic documents in Nasova in the presence of the Commissioner of Police, our policy partners of the New Zealand police and the Australian Federal Police, our United Kingdom representatives and the senior executive and senior management team of the Fiji Police Force,” A/DCP Lutunauga said.

“Now for the very first time, we have launched our strategic plan in which you were part of the shaping of that plan launched at Nasova.”
“Before we usually launched our strategic plan in hotels, conference rooms, police headquarters, but this year, the document that you assisted us in shaping the way forward for the Fiji police for the next five years was launched in Nasova, where it all began when the Fiji Police Force was established in 1874.”
He said police relied on the strong partnerships we have with you, our government agencies, civil society organisations, community leaders, faith- based organisations, private sectors, youths and all individuals who were part of our consultation. Participants had shared their perspectives on how they want the force to be in the future.
“As the people we serve, your voices are the most important. We listened to your concerns and ensured that our plans align with your needs,” A/DPC Lutunauga said.
