Police investigate accident involving officer in Labasa

Police are investigating a road accident allegedly involving one of their officers in Labasa.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wame Bautolu said the incident occurred at around 4pm yesterday along Tabia Road, when a police vehicle went off the road after the driver lost control.

Sergeant Bautolu said the vehicle then tumbled into a nearby bush.

“He was alone at the time of the accident and was not injured,” he said.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
