The Fiji Police Force are on alert following information being shared about a 20-ton methamphetamine in the Western Division.
This comes in the wake of the bust in Legalega, Nadi, earlier this year.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Internal Affairs, and Professional Standards, (ACP) Sakeo Ganivatu, told participants of the Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) camp in Lautoka on Saturday.

Police seize around three tonnes of medium-sized boxes believed to have illicit drugs during a raid in Nadi on January 14, 2024.
“There were supposed to be six tons. During the investigation, we found that there is another 20 tons somewhere in the Western Division. We will find out.”
ACP Ganivatu also spoke about the impact of drugs.
He added peer pressure was something everyone needed to break free from.
He said youths wanted to smoke and feel high or use methamphetamine to feel its foreign effect and enjoy life more but advised that there is no enjoyment in drugs.
“We are fighting a losing battle, especially with Fiji being a small country, and with large drug finds,” ACP Ganivatu said.
“A 15-year-old in Lautoka was found with an apparatus that can make meth, and maybe there is a meth lab in the Western Division. We will find out.”
ACP Ganivatu said it was vital that the police and public work together to fight the drug menace in the country.
