Minister for Home Affairs Pio Tikoduadua has confirmed talks of a possible review of salaries of the Fiji Police Force.

In a meeting yesterday, Mr Tikoduadua said police had made a submission.

“I have told them to push it up,” Mr Tikoduadua said when queried on a salary review for police officers.

“Today, I asked police to also relook at their welfare.

“While I am exerting further responsibilities and tasks, I’ve got to look after them too. They have families too and personal well-being (to take care of).

“I have a responsibility of looking after police, not only in their area of work but their family too.

“They had submitted it to me and I have accepted that. Minister for Finance was there and he has listened to it.”
