NFA initial investigation
NFA chief executive officer Puamau Sowane emphasised the importance of constant supervision for children, especially those who have not reached school age.
“This is a tragic event and it saddens NFA that a young life has been lost in the fire. This is something that no family should have to go through,” he said.
“It is our plea that families practice fire safety at home. Have an escape plan and route and teach your children what to do in the event of a fire.”
A report will be sent to the police.
