Police Treat Sonaisali Fire As Arson
The four-bedroom concrete and corrugated iron home belonged to a retired heavy machinist, Jai Kumar, who claimed that smoke had come from the back.

The National Fire Authority (NFA) and the Fiji Police Force are treating a structural house fire at Vellaidan Road at Sonaisali, Nadi last Saturday morning as arson.
NFA chief executive officer Sowane Puamau said investigations were underway.
“The cause of the fire is suspected to be arson, but under investigation to determine the cause of the fire,” Mr Puamau said.
