The Fiji Police Force has plans to decentralise K9 services in the Northern Division.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the plans were put in place because of the availability of K9s and the procurement of more puppies.

“Currently there is a kennel on Taveuni Island,” Ms Naisoro said.

“Now there are plans in place to have K9 in Seaqaqa.”

She said although it would take some time to execute their plans, people of the Northern Division could be rest assured that it’s work in process.

“We appreciate the support of the Fiji Corrections Service because they have assisted us with the deployment of their K9s when needed,” she added.
