Port Denarau Marina Closed, Yachts Secured

The Port Denarau Marina is now CLOSED.

A post on its Facebook page thanked everyone for ensuring the cyclone preparation went as planned.

"Vinaka Vakalevu goes to our team who put in a big effort to ensure that all assets and boats are secured before they headed home this evening to secure their homes. Please stay safe!"

Earlier today, the Marina shared drone photos of yachts taking shelter among the mangrove waterway.

Meanwhile, earlier today the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji issued the following statement:

• All Maritime transport involving passengers and cargoes are to cease from 2359 Wednesday 16th December 2020.
