Prasad Urges Unity, Peace

Let’s make Fiji the way the world should be, says Angee Prasad, co-owner and director of Farmboy (Fiji).
Ms Prasad proudly decorated her stall in white and noble blue to celebrate Fiji Day at Namaka Market in Nadi.
Ms Prasad, a mother of three, reflected on her journey from selling produce along the roadsides of Votualevu and Fantasy Road two decades ago to now being a successful business owner.

Her stall, a popular feature at Namaka Market, exuded the spirit of Fiji Day, promoting unity, peace, and love.
Originally from Tagitagi, Tavua, Ms Prasad also emphasised her commitment to supporting local communities by outsourcing labor to villagers, especially women, in Nadi.
She spoke passionately about promoting Fiji as a peaceful haven, despite any challenges or negativity the nation may face.
Her business is not only thriving but is also inclusive and environmentally friendly, providing training for youth with special needs.
This initiative aims to equip them with life-long skills.

Former market vendors association leader, Alipate Bolavucu, praised the inclusivity of the event, saying: “We should all embrace each other no matter the socio-background we come from.”
