"Weeping with those who weep."

That was how the head of the Catholic Church Archbishop Peter Loy Chong described his meeting with Salome earlier today.

Salome lost both her husband and eldest son in a tragic accident near Korovou on Sunday night (December 27, 2020).

Lodoviko Degei, 31, and his father Elia Tinaviti, 60, allegedly overtook a vehicle on Natovi HIghway near Matacula village and crashed head-on with another Toyota Crown.

Archbishop Chong said it was a big trauma for a woman losing two loved ones.

"But she is picking up strength through prayer and lighting candles to God in Church.

"May God grant peace to Elia and Lodo, strength to Salome and Jokapeci (Lodo's wife)."
