The Public Rental Board (PRB) is designing a relocation policy.

This was revealed by the Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Katamotu yesterday.

This was after three registered engineers declared Block Five at the PRB’s Mead Road flats as unsafe and compromised.

The buildings’ roofs and floors have shown signs of cracking, leading to the relocation of five families out of the 26 tenants to alternative flats on different estates.

“Five flats have been located and the notices that were served to the remaining tenants are put on hold,” Mr Katamotu said.

“PRB is designing a relocation policy that is going to guide the board in the relocation.”
