President and Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere has urged the people of Kia Island to be stewards of unity and peace for Macuata province.
Ratu Wiliame made the call during the 214-year commemoration event after the arrival of Christianity in Fiji on Kia Island, Macuata, on Saturday.
Ratu Wiliame said it was important that people showed kindness, unity, and peace among themselves at a time when the geopolitical landscape of the world seemed to be shifting away from peace.
