President receives Electoral Commission reports
Delegation briefs President on milestones, challenges and ongoing efforts to strengthen Fiji’s electoral system.

The Electoral Commission yesterday presented its 2023 and 2024 annual reports to the President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability and strengthening Fiji’s electoral system.
During a courtesy visit to State House, Commissioners Inoke Loganimoce, Susana Naisara and Reginald Jokhan tabled the reports on behalf of the Commission, conveying apologies from the chairman and others who were unable to attend.
The delegation briefed the President on key milestones achieved over the past two years, as well as challenges encountered in carrying out their constitutional mandate.

The annual reports provide a comprehensive account of the Commission’s operational activities, strategic priorities and financial performance for 2023 and 2024. They also outline ongoing efforts to reinforce the integrity, efficiency and credibility of Fiji’s electoral processes.
“Regular and transparent reporting on the use of taxpayers’ funds is essential to maintain public trust and confidence in national institutions,” Ratu Naiqama said.
The reports signal the Commission’s focus on institutional transparency and its responsibility to uphold democratic standards in Fiji.
