The pretrial conference hearing of a man charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault has been adjourned to July by the High Court in Lautoka.
This is the case of a man, 36, who allegedly raped and indecently assaulted a teenager who was 18 years old at the time of the alleged offence on April 10, 2022.
They resided in the same settlement at Tauvegavega, Ba.

The matter was heard before Judge, Justice Sunil Sharma on Wednesday and the accused was represented by Jarus Reuben of Salvin Nand Lawyers while Sheenal Swastika appeared for prosecution.
The court heard the matter was for the pretrial conference hearing, however, the state sought for it to be deferred.
Ms Swastika said the defence had requested a new set of pretrial conference documents, and she sought to serve the same to Mr Reuben.
Justice Sharma adjourned the pretrial conference hearing to July 10 and extended bail for the accused.
