Students and teachers of Nadi Primary School took part in celebrating Holi yesterday.
The school’s programme consisted of a drama depicting the destruction of evil and a dance that portrayed the celebration after the end of evil.
Holi celebration co-ordinator Sihani Lal said that every part of the programme conducted yesterday depicted the significance of Holi.

She said: “The message of the Holi today is to forget about all the bad things that evil has done to you. We have to forgive those who done evil to us because the one who forgives is stronger than the one who is asking for forgiveness.
“Holi is the celebration of colours and it signifies happiness.
If we want happiness, we have to forgive and forget the faults of yesterday and continue with the new love of today.
“The main programme is the item by groups which we call Faag. When we have Holi, we play with colours and we compete in singing songs,” she said.
Mrs Lal said the sweets provided for the Holi celebration were provided by the Sharma Music Centre which manages the school.
