Prime Minister Rabuka Thanks China For Support

The MOUs focus on Strengthening Development Cooperation and Promoting the Implementation of the Global Development Initiative, and an Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation.

Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, received a courtesy call from China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Vice-Chairman, Tang Wenhong, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this week.

During the meeting, Mr Rabuka reaffirmed Fiji’s support for the One-China Policy, emphasizing its importance to Fiji and China’s diplomatic relations spanning 48 years.

He expressed gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for its support, particularly towards Fiji’s socio-economic development.

Mr Rabuka also acknowledged the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) aimed at further strengthening mutual cooperation between the two nations.
