Prosthetic Arm to Boost Elenoa's Passion to Read
In a bid to ensure she has a bright future Aspen Medical Foundation assisted her receive a prosthetic arm in Sydney to among other things restore her passion for reading.

Elenoa Gukiwasa’s love to read will be given a timely boost as she can soon hold a book again with two arms.
The eight-year-old Delana Primary School student lost an arm during a tragic bus accident last year at Banaras in Lautoka.
In a bid to ensure she has a bright future Aspen Medical Foundation assisted her receive a prosthetic arm in Sydney to among other things restore her passion for reading.

She left the country three days ago and was scheduled to undergo a prosthetic fitting in Sydney this week.
She was accompanied by her grandmother, Makelesi and Aspen Medical clinicians Dr Manoa Valeniyasana, Setaita Bulai and Linda Jorgensen.
Her family acknowledged the financial assistance from Aspen Medical’s registered charity, Aspen Medical Foundation.
Following the road traffic accident near Lautoka Hospital on June 21, 2023, Aspen Medical in Fiji approached the Aspen Medical Foundation to support Elenoa on her path to recovery.
The foundation agreed to fund the required prosthetic limb, all travel and accommodation.
Elenoa’s prosthetic limb will be fitted by APC Prosthetics in Sydney.
