The Public Service Commission (PSC) has confirmed the re-appointment of Shiri Gounder as Permanent Secretary for Finance.

PSC Chair Luke Rokovada congratulated Mr Gounder on his renewed term and conveyed the Commission’s best wishes, noting his strong leadership since assuming office.

Mr Rokovada said Mr Gounder has demonstrated outstanding professionalism and vision, leading key reforms that have strengthened fiscal responsibility, improved transparency, and supported sustainable national growth.

Under his stewardship, the Ministry of Finance has navigated complex financial challenges while advancing innovative initiatives to modernise public financial management.

The PSC Chair reaffirmed the Government’s confidence in Mr Gounder’s track record and commitment to building a resilient and inclusive economy.

He added that continuity in leadership ensures stability in ongoing financial programmes and reinforces Fiji’s commitment to prudent, accountable, and forward-looking financial administration.

The Commission also thanked stakeholders and partners for their continued collaboration in supporting the country’s economic goals.
