The Public Service Commission (PSC), with the agreement of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, has officially confirmed the appointments of Amenatave Yauvoli and Jone Navakamocea as permanent secretaries, effective from 10 June.

Mr Yauvoli will serve as the Permanent Secretary for Civil Service and Public Enterprises, while Mr Navakamocea will take on the role of Permanent Secretary for iTaukei Affairs, Culture, Heritage and Arts.

Announcing the appointments, PSC chairman Luke Rokovada noted that both individuals had previously acted in these roles and were interviewed for the positions.

"They performed exceptionally during the selection process," Mr Rokovada said.

The appointments follow the reassignment of former permanent secretaries Parmesh Chand and Pita Tagicakirewa, who have now been assigned to special duties within the civil service.

"These changes are part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that leadership in key ministries is strong, stable, and results-driven," Mr Rokovada added.

The new appointments reflect the PSC's commitment to improving government performance and strengthening public service delivery.
