Puleiwai Named FICAC Acting Deputy Commissioner
Ms Puleiwai completed her LLB at the University of the South Pacific and is completing her master’s in international relations and diplomacy at the University of Fiji.

President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere has appointed Francis Puleiwai as the new Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) acting deputy commissioner.
This was confirmed by Chief Registrar and Secretary to the Judicial Services Commission, Tomasi Bainivalu, yesterday.
Mr Bainivalu said Ms Puleiwai’s term was for three years, effective November 20, 2023.

Ms Puleiwai completed her LLB at the University of the South Pacific and is completing her master’s in international relations and diplomacy at the University of Fiji.
Ms Puleiwai was a legal officer at the Fiji Commerce Commission in 2010 and senior state counsel with the FICAC from late 2014 to 2019; thereafter, she was promoted to principal state counsel and manager legal at FICAC until April 2021 before she was appointed as senior government lawyer at the ODPP in Nauru.
