Qauia Footbridge Upgrade On Track

The government’s decision to assist people of Qauia Settlement upgrade their foot crossing has been welcomed with open arms.

They say that in Qauia, when it rains, it pours and one of the first victims of a downpour is the Irish crossing at the entrance to the settlement. When its flooded access is cut off, any attempt to cross is strongly discouraged

The government’s decision to assist people of Qauia Settlement upgrade their foot crossing has been welcomed with open arms.

This was evident on Wednesday (26/04/23) when the Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Sakiusa Tubuna visited the settlement and highlighted the government’s progress for the benefit of Qauia.

Qauia Settlement is home to close to a thousand people. It may be more if the casual visitors are to be counted.
