Qiliho, Seruiratu Visit Fijians Serving In South Sudan

The Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho accompanied the Minister of Defense & National Security and Foreign Affairs Inia Seruiratu to visit Fiji personnel serving with the United Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

A contingent of Fiji Police Officers and a few Military Observers are serving under UNMISS. The visit also provided an opportunity for the Minister and Commissioner to visit UNMISS Police Commissioner Mrs Unaisi Vuniwaqa who currently head the Police component of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan.

The appointment of ACP Una is a milestone achievement for the Fiji Police and this region, being the first female officer to be appointed to such a senior UN position.
