Following a complaint lodged against Ms Tabuya earlier this year, she faced the party’s legal and disciplinary sub-committee on February 12 to answer to allegations levelled against her.
Members of the legal and discipli-nary sub-committee who conducted the disciplinary proceedings on Ms Tabuya include:
Chair Alefina Vuki who is also a member of the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission
Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Filimoni Vosarogo
Finau Soqo

Ranjit Charan
The party concluded with an incriminating statement of the sex and drugs scandal as: “The people’s executive council, particularly considered the severe and likely irreparable damage and disrepute that the scandal and al-legations surrounding it had brought to the party’s image and reputation.
“The council therefore resolved, in the best interest of the party, that Lyn-da Tabuya be removed as deputy party leader effective immediately as at the time and date of its decision, Monday, March 4, 2024.”
Speaking to the Fiji Sun this week, Mr Rabuka said: “That case came to a close, I have given her a letter of which only she is privy to and that concludes the issue about her and she remains in cabinet.”
He had earlier stated that claims made against Ms Tabuya were mere allegations.
The Fiji Sun had reached out to Ms Tabuya about the letter. She did not respond.
