Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has denied claims by the Opposition caucus that members of the Group of 16 (G16) Opposition MPs were approached regarding the Cabinet expansion.
Leader of the Opposition, Inia Seruiratu, told reporters yesterday that some G16 members had allegedly been approached by the Coalition Government.
"There are a lot of approaches being made to our members from other political parties and, of course, other interested people as well," Mr Seruiratu said.

"Calls are still coming. You'll have to ask each member individually who was approached."
Amidst the allegations, there appears to be confusion over who initiated contact.
In response, Mr Rabuka categorically denied the claims, stating: "No, they approached me."
When pressed further on who had approached him, the Prime Minister said cryptically: "No, they might kick them out."
