Rabuka: Pryde resumes Monday amid claims

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed that Christopher Pryde will resume his role as Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on Monday, despite an active complaint lodged by senior management of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
"That's in accordance with the tribunal's findings and the President's directive," Mr Rabuka said.
"The FICAC investigation will continue, but his return to office will proceed."

Acting DPP Nancy Tikoisuva said yesterday that the office was prepared to welcome Mr Pryde back.
"We will happily receive him, but out of courtesy, we informed him of the complaint against him," Ms Tikoisuva said.
"Our internal policy ensures he is made aware of the developments."
Ms Tikoisuva added that senior management anticipates meeting with Mr Pryde to discuss the matter further.
She addressed staff at the ODPP yesterday to brief them on the lodged complaint and Mr Pryde's imminent return.
"I assured staff that those who are witnesses in the FICAC investigation will be protected from any harassment for providing evidence or information," she said.
