Rabuka Warns His Proposed Candidates
Before we suggest any changes, we have to get back to the landowners. That’s what we are going to do should we come into Government

The People’s Alliance leader Sitiveni Rabuka says he has spoken and warned provisional candidates of his party to remain in the ambit of the law while out campaigning for the 2022/2023 General Elections.
Mr Rabuka made the comments when questioned if he was concerned about the number of people from his political party that have been referred to FICAC over alleged breaches of the Electoral Act.
He said he has warned them and told them to be very careful of what they tried to do and say in any campaign.

“I have also informed them to stay within the bounds of the law,” he said.
Lease Money
When questioned if a People’s Alliance government would continue the equal distribution of lease monies to landowners, Mr Rabuka said he would have to consult the landowners first.
“It comes down to consultation with the landowners,” he said.
“Before we suggest any changes, we have to get back to the landowners. That’s what we are going to do should we come into Government.”
PA Government to continue with investments on development of land.
Mr Rabuka said his government would also continue to develop land settlement and residential lots as the FijiFirst government began.
“We cannot get away or escape from the fact that there will be a continuing need for development of land, settlement and residential lots in the major urban and peri- urban areas,” he said.
“There is a serious movement from the rural to the urban areas, therefore there will be a growth in requirements in residential hous- ing and we will continue where the current government has left off.”
