The former Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, is gearing up for a comeback, following his sudden dismissal last Friday by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
The dismissal, rooted in allegations of insubordination and disobedience, revolves around the contentious appointment of council members of the Fiji National University (FNU).
Acknowledging communication lapses within the Office of the Prime Minister and from SODELPA leader Viliame Gavoka, PM Rabuka is now considering reinstating Mr Radrodro.

Meanwhile, a legal notice gazetted on Monday officially designated Deputy Prime Minister Gavoka as the new Minister for Education.
Despite evidence of communication challenges, Mr Rabuka takes full responsibility for his decision to dismiss the minister, earning respect from Mr Radrodro.
Mr Radrodro patiently awaits the SODELPA management board’s deliberation tomorrow on his role.
Expressing thanks to the people of Fiji, Mr Radrodro urged continued prayers for national healing.
“I thank all our people again in Fiji and appreciate all the prayers and love extended to me and my family,” he said.
“Also, I ask that we continue to pray for our leaders, including the Honourable PM and cabinet and even our opposition, that we heal as a nation and serve our people as best as we can.”
SODELPA officials have also welcomed Mr Rabuka’s openness, expressing optimism for further dialogue with the Prime Minister.
