Commissioner Northern Uraia Rainima has advised the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) staff to take a holistic approach and help people to start preparing for the cyclone season.
He said so many natural disasters had struck Fiji in the past and by now the staff should be well versed with how to prepare an Initial Damage Assessment (IDA) and Detailed Damage Assessment (DDA).
“What are you doing with those reports. Are we waiting for the next cyclone?” Mr Rainima asked participants during the disaster management response workshop at Galaxy Hotel and Apartments in Labasa.
