Rapist Dad Jailed For 13 Years
State Prosecution annexed her medical report which confirmed the charges against her father.

A man who is charged f or raping his oldest daughter in 2017 was sentenced to 13 years 11 months 10 days imprisonment by the High Court in Suva on Friday.
The man received his sentence while appearing before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe on Wednesday.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual assault and two counts of rape which was filed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

It was heard that between 2017 and 2020, the man committed the offense on five separate occasions.
The court heard that the man had always asked for his wife and daughter’s forgiveness, despite repeating the offence.

According to the court’s judgement, it was heard that he was married and had five children.
Despite asking for forgiveness from his daughter and wife, the perpetrator continuously committed the offence, indicating he was not remorseful for his actions.
His sentence will be served with a non-parole period of 12 years.
