Rashmi Aslam Named As FICAC Commissioner
The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) announced that Rashmi Aslam has been appointed as it’s Commissioner with effect from April 18, 2022.

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) announced that Rashmi Aslam has been appointed as it’s Commissioner with effect from April 18, 2022.
The appointment was made by the President, Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere in accordance to Chapter 5 Part B Section 115 (2) & (12) of the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji 2013.
Such appointment is a historic achievement for the Commission as Mr Aslam is the first to serve as Commissioner since the establishment of the organisation in 2007.

Mr Aslam has been an integral member of the Commission since 2012 and has worked his way from being a Senior Prosecutor to Manager Legal, and Acting Deputy Commissioner before his appointment as Deputy Commissioner on May 1, 2020.
Mr Aslam’s expertise in prosecuting white collar crimes, complex fraud and corruption cases spans over 15 years and has successfully prosecuted various high-profile cases for the Commission.
Mr Aslam has also obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M) in Advanced Criminal Law studies and Criminal Justice.
The Commission congratulated Mr Aslam on his appointment and looked forward to continuing the fight against corruption under his expert advice, guidance and leadership.
