Overwhelming response from ratepayers in Suva and Lami has led the municipal councils to extend the seven per cent discount on rates for another month.
It was previously announced that ratepayers paying their rates in full would get a seven per cent discount in August, six per cent discount in September and five in October.
Suva and Lami special administrator chair Isikeli Tikoduadua said ratepayers who were willing to pay their rates in full should be given incentives to do so.
